ID and Age Requirements
Thank you for choosing Amory Body Arts for your piercing journey! To ensure everything goes smoothly and safely, we’d love for you to review our studio policies and state regulations.
Friendly Reminder: These guidelines are required by law, and we stick to them closely to keep everyone safe. We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We can’t wait to provide you with a fun and safe piercing experience!
Age Requirements
For those 18 years of age or older, we require a valid state—and government-issued photo ID. Your ID will be needed every time services are rendered.
For those under the age of 18, please read all the information about piercing minors, especially with our documentation requirements. Failure to provide the required documents will result in the forfeiture of your scheduled appointment and prepayment.
Identification Requirements
If you are 18+ older, you must have one of the following valid (not expired) forms of identification:
1) Driver’s License
2) State Identification Card
3) Passport
4) Greencard
Minors — Parents, please read ALL of this information that pertains to piercing minors!
If you have any questions after reading these requirements, you can contact the studio for more details. We do not do piercings on anyone under 18 without parental and legal guardian consent. Piercing a minor without their consent is both illegal and unethical. The following policies are intended to protect minors, their parents, our staff, and the studio:
-If you are 13 or younger, our insurance allows us to only perform earlobe piercings on you with parent/legal guardian consent. We offer earlobe piercings on minors as young as eight, but it is case-by-case. For minor earlobe piercings, we will need the minor’s birth certificate (original, hard copy, or electronic copy) and the parent or legal guardian present with their valid state identification card or driver's license.
-If you are 14-17 years of age, our insurance allows us to perform most ear, eyebrow, and navel piercings with parent/legal guardian consent. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have a documented parent/legal guardian present, and you must have one of the following two acceptable ID and documentation requirements below:
1) Your child's state identification card or driver's license (must have matching last names and the same address as the parent/legal guardian) and the parent/legal guardian present with their state identification card or driver's license.
2) If your child does not have a state identification card or driver's license with a matching last name and address, we will need the following three forms of identification: photo ID (i.e., passport, school ID, yearbook, Greencard), their birth certificate (original, hard copy, or electronic copy), and the parent/legal guardian present with their valid state identification card or driver's license.
All sales are final. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
